WE BELIEVE IN A FUTURE
WHERE OUR COMMUNITIES
FLOURISH AND PROSPER
We are committed to improving our communities through innovative solutions, providing opportunities for marginalised individuals to make a meaningful contribution to society, supporting the improvement of such key areas as:
25% of the Welsh population is
currently economically inactive
60-75% of offenders remain
unemployed one year after release
Only 20% of the
construction workforce is female
The positive impact of our projects is far-reaching and has a real, lasting impact upon our local communities and wider society.
"To see empty homes numbers shoot up for a third year alongside rising homelessness is simply unacceptable. At a time of national housing crisis we cannot afford to see 226,000 homes stand empty across the country."
Our property renovation in Neath has taken giant strides forward with the participants learning how to tile floors and walls and fit the kitchen. These skills will support them to access employment in the construction industry.
Thanks to @mattaddicott @TSWTraining for providing our participants with mock CSCS test training this week. This process is vital in preparing them for the test, ensuring they have the knowledge to pass and obtain their card, which is mandatory for site work.
Our next @TNLComFundWales Community Legacy Project commences in Glynneath in Feb 2020. If you’re interested in learning new skills, or would like to refer someone into the project, please get in touch.
